BestMyPet provides pet memorial pages at www.bestmypet.com. This notice describes the information used by the website.
Information used by the service
We store your account email address, display name and profile image. If you register with a password, the website stores a password hash. When you sign in with Google, we use the name, email address and profile image Google provides to create or find your account. We do not receive your Google password.
We also store the memorial text, pet details, photos, videos, messages, favorites and gift records you submit. Memorials, their media and messages are accessible to visitors. Avoid submitting information you do not want others to see.
Why information is used
The website uses this information to sign you in, display and manage memorials, deliver registration verification emails and record gifts. Registration codes expire after 10 minutes. Cookies support sign-in sessions and language preferences; your browser also stores your display-theme preference.
Hosting and other providers
The website uses Tencent Cloud hosting, Cloudflare for network delivery and protection, Google for optional sign-in, and an email delivery service for registration messages. These services may process information needed to provide their functions. Server and network logs may include IP addresses, request URLs and timestamps.
When PayPal payments are available, PayPal handles payment authorization. BestMyPet records the order or transaction identifier, gift, amount and payment status. We do not receive your PayPal password or full payment-card details. PayPal and Google provide their own privacy notices for their services.
Stored information and requests
Account and memorial information is stored in the website database. Uploaded media is stored on the website server, and backups can contain earlier copies. You can update your profile and manage memorials through your account.
